"No matter how I go, I want it reported that I drowned in moonlight, strangled by my own bra." The world lost another star with the passing of Carrie Fisher, best known for her role of Princess Leia in Star Wars. The 60-year-old died this Tuesday after suffering a heart attack four days earlier.
She was not only an iconic female figure in media, one of the earliest strong female characters that young girls everywhere looked up to, she was also an advocate for mental health, sharing her own story of dealing with depression and addictions and in doing so, giving a voice to those struggling with these issues.
We've decided to make an open list from the artistic tributes to Carrie that have been popping up all over internet. You can pay your respects by submitting your artwork too. May the force be with you always, Carrie Fisher.

I hadn't yet allowed my tears to fall for the loss of someone who was such a part of my childhood (life) until I saw this picture. Rest in Peace Carrie. You are loved forever and will be missed more than you could ever know.
