An artist from St. Petersburg, Olga Abakumova, creates touching and warm stories from ordinary clothes on utilitarian and useful things — vanity-bags, key cases, covers, handbags and purses.

Bright content of her works meets positive response in the hearts of many fans. Every story is born in a rough sketch, but each element of a textile collage seems to live its own life in the making process, influencing the execution of the idea.

The author is amazingly fruitful, it takes her only three days to create a little thing though it is sewn completely by hand, without a sewing machine. The most favourite and at the same time difficult step is to come up with a theme and select all necessary materials. And then, stitch by stitch, a ready textile thing is born to evoke smiles and bring joy.
