Blooming Art is a series of flower bouquets that floral artist, Petra Radnai, made, and I photographed.
Every single one of the classic paintings that we choose to imitate we observed in many different ways. Petra reflected on the style of the original famous paintings during her work. She was using a different type of flower art compositions to bring additional meaning to each piece. She also chose the type of beautiful flowers based on the personality of the characters she was imitating.
I had three focuses during the process: backgrounds, lighting, and postproduction. The goal was to create a context for each unique art piece with painted backgrounds. I was lighting each floral composition to resemble these paintings. Finally, I edited the brightness, colors, and texture of the photographs in the most identical way possible comparing to the beautiful artworks.
