Just post something controversial (a question is ideal), and have your fellow pandas either say what they think about it, or what is correct!
How are some people such complete idiots? I see people talk about being antivaxxers or saying the earth is flat, and I cannot comprehend how a person can be so stupid..
Why the hell isn't the Patriot Act being used against the people involved in the January 6th capital attack? I keep seeing folks getting turned in by others, not found by the FBI. Even the person leaving bombs is on video using a phone, how can they not find this person? Isn't this exactly what the Patriot Act was for?
Why is there enough money for war but not enough to give people free health care. Why haven't we, the rich western world, given covid vaccines to the poor countries around us. Have we become so immune to others suffering?
Why do we allow religious schools? Why not keep religion at home and let kids learn about reality in an honest way without also indoctrinate them outside of home?
Why do people have to be racist and sexist and homophobic? Why can't everyone accept eachother?
How does anyone over the age of 14 take seriously a person whose job title is "Influencer"?
Why do people with billions of dollars (a) resist paying taxes (b) hold on to their billions when they could do so much good in the world by giving most of it away and still have more than enough left for a comfortable life?
Why do some LGBTQ+ people openly despise CIS/CISgendered people?
Why isn't bodily autonomy used to defend abortion. If a corpse has to have consent given to use it's organs to save lives why am I not granted the same level of autonomy?
How is it the 21st century and we still don't have sex ed classes in public schools? Yes, I get the private and Catholic schools, but public, basic school should have a sex ed class, I would think.
Why do people think that fighting racism with racism and sexism with sexism is going to fix it?
If you are a trans woman, how did you know that you were really a woman if you don't know what being a biological woman feels like? I'm just curious as there are lots of things about being a biological woman like periods and insane hormones that (in part) define me and the rhythms of my life that trans women as far as I know never get to experience.
Is it possible that LGTBQ people might be wrong about what they identify as? Don't get me wrong, I still respect their choices, but, you know, I was just wondering.
If a deaf/mute kid swears, does his mother wash his hands out with soap?
Why are some people so greedy and selfish that they value money more than their fellow man?
Am am fully vaccinated and over 65. If an unvaccinated person contracts COVID, causes me to suffer a breakthrough infection, and I die, is that involuntary manslaughter?
Ok lets go. Is cereal a soup? Is a hotdog a sandwich? Does a straw have one hole or two? Does pizza have to have toppings (including cheese) to be considered pizza?
how long we are going to continue tolerating that our goverments take our hard earnings in orther to make them richer and richer meanwhile we get poor? do we really need them?
Why do people assume that you have to care for/about your family? Even if they're not jerks towards you specifically, you can still be conscious that they aren't nice people and that they hurt others, so you just want to stay away from them.
What is a valid reason as to why people want to have biological kids?
Like why would people want to bring another human being into a crappy world knowing you’ll have to work your ass off to provide for and raise (or hire a nanny to do it for you). Why would anyone want to voluntarily put themselves in a situation of sleepless nights and constant worry? Genuinely asking as no one I have asked before has been able to give me an valid answer. (I’ve meet so many parents that wished they’ve never had kids, but they do love their kids to death and wouldn’t have it any other way, but if they could choose again, they would not have them. Or others that say “it’s totally worth it!” And are completely broke, tired and stressed. But why is it worth it? Others straight up tell me “don’t have kids.” They’re a lot of work.)
Why do the left, and right argue? We're both getting f****d, I believe the system is inherently wrong if we are all are out here believing there are only 2 sides. I think it is a means to keep us arguing with eachother, so we don't stand up do something about it.
Now mind you I understand when people argue just to argue the point their side is trying to make, or this undying loyalty to a civil servant. That is worth taking notice of. Though in the end I believe most of us can find more than a few reasons to dislike our own side of the aisle. We all just have the shitty decision of which side is the lesser of 2 evils so our "freedom to choose" is not wasted. I just wanna know when the general population is going to come to this understanding so we can put the blame where it belongs.
What would any woman think if they were part of of a conversation with you and one of your buddies, and you mentioned to him that your wife does dishes, makes dinner, mows the lawn, takes out trash, washes cars, etc...and your buddy said "I see you've got her trained."...? Why is that acceptable for one woman to say to another woman about her husband? I'm not her trained monkey, a-hole.
How many sketchy laws exist solely to protect the people who put them into place, and how badly punished would they be if those laws were not in place? Statutory rape laws in particular come to mind, and how so many of them seem to conveniently set their cut-off time to not long before the politicians who push so hard for them took office...
Why do people still believe in God/religion?
If people mellow with age, why did I go from being gregarious and fun in my twenties, to being unsocial and despising most of humanity?
Why do schools teach pretty much useless information you will never use for the remainder for your life? Why don’t they teach you real-world stuff, like how to get a job, how to not go bankrupt, how to be successful in your life?
I have two, neither are as serious as this post is but I'm in a good mood.
First, fruitcake. Yay or nay?
Toilet paper with the end in front or behind? Cat owners who hide their toilet paper in a drawer need not answer this part.
Why does society condone the suffering of animals?
What colour is a mirror? I say silver because of the mirror paint, but it is not technically that because glass is not a colour.
Afroamerican Pandas: When you see Meghan Markle, do you initially think she is of color or are you offended when she says she was treated racistical?
I know this is a bit "odd" but it's a question that I can't get off my mind sometimes... Please stay nice.
Why is it that every picture I see of Adam and Eve, Eve has a belly button?
Do you believe that parents can destroy their child's life?
Why do so many men think they're entitled to women? Why are there so many men who when a woman doesn't want to talk to them, doesn't react positively to being catcalled or harassed or sent unsolicited d**k pics, says no to a date/sex/whatever, respond with violence or abuse? It's 2021 and there's still no shortage of guys who are surprised and angry that women are allowed to say no to them??
How does one come out? It all just seems like something that happens suddenly. What if I want to walk into it and not jump?
Why do parents have a second kid to make the first one happy? As the older kid I can say the happiness only lasts until the 2nd one is old enough to fight.
Why are the lockers at my school so tiny? I mean they are 4 inches wide, how do we fit things IN the locker.
When we use the lockers at my school for lunch and they don’t fit, why do we have to turn to crappy food? I mean, the only good food is chicken there.
If there is a God, and Jesus is Lord, why does he allow so many sleazy con-artist to represent him on Earth.
Why do people think that the United States is the whole world? So of us (most) have proper, free, sustainable healthcare, the freedom to be whatever religion we choose, the right to abortion...
Most of the world is nothing like the US.
Why do a lot of black Americans, call other black Americans who are educated "Uncle Tom"? I didn't realize getting a higher education was something only "white" people do.
Why do we have to be in a capitalist society? I hate that hard work has no relation to reward, ad that the odds are stacked against 99% of us while the rich just get richer.
If we could modify and merge a bunch of different techniques we could have an actually decent society where school wasn't so mentally destructive, everyone had at least a living wage, and millionaires had limits on what they could spend and had to give some to everyone who needs it.
Why do some American demographic groups add identity to their nationality? I always see Black Americans as Americans, as well as every other group. Why shouldn't I simply call them Americans? I don't understand why I should I add Black, Latino, etc., if I don't need to, and especially if I'm not sure which demographic group they belong to. I am white and only call myself American without any other language attached. All Americans are my countrymen, and I feel weird separating them into groups.
Ok don't wanna sound like an absolute jerk but are most Christian dudes jerks?
When in history did white people start to think they were better than everyone else? And how does a thin skin layer and pale eyes equate to supremacy?
People have the right to die. Yeh, therapy and a bunch of serious conversations first but it's their body, their life and their right. I'm not saying it should be easy or a quick decision but if your life isn't going to get better or is only going to get worse that should be a choice you can take. I don't know the exact answer for those with children, but I also wonder if a kid being brought up with a suicidal parent is good for them anyway. Case by case I guess. I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Do god really exist? Or we just made the heaven and hell thing just to comfort our feelings. Like if you die younger or die struggling and the promise that everything just gonna be fine never comes, they will just said "oh atleast he is not suffering in heaven" or we just want to believe that there's more punishment than death to sll the person commiting these crimes
This is something that has been bothering me for a while now. why the blacks aren't proud of the word negro. why that world is synonym of insult, when it should be a source of pride. I hope i won't offend anyone. but for me there's no more beautiful word than the word negro
Until every person is free to be themselves and free to make their own decisions, humanity will be a disappointment.
We are not hopeful of humanity pulling itself out of the mess we've put ourselves into. Instead, we are desperately hopeful of technology solving our problems.
Are thumbs considered fingers? Are cucumbers and tomatoes fruits or vegetables?
If you have multiple personality disorders, can you have more than one Facebook account?
People who want to get married/believe in marriage:
Why so many years dating to see if the person is “the one?” What things need to be found out that can’t simply be asked? I mean people who date for 2+ years and still remain uncertain.
Why don't we base eligibility for male/female sports on the presence of XX or XY chromosomes?
All other animals are classified as different species within the same genus, based on measurable biological differences and variations in appearance. Why aren't humans?
Why does Hollywood and the western media industry hold on to the current trend of making movies for virtue signaling?
Viewer numbers are low, people stop listening to "The Message" and overall it seem like a big failure on every regard
If Jimmy cracked corn and nobody cared, why did he do it?
If you tripped over and put your hand out to break your fall and that hand splats in a freshly laid poop, would you rather it be dog poop or human poop?
If Adam and Eve were the first humans, at what point did we evolve from apes?
